Description:
IJscuypje is an ice cream parlour near the Albert Cuyp (this is where it gets its name from). This popular little shop sells home made ice cream; drop by on a hot day or any time when you're in for a creamy desert. IJscuypje has no seating area, but usually you can easily hang out on one of the benches nearby. Interesting enough IJscuypje undergoes a metamorphosis every winter: then its name changes into 'Stamppotje' which probably is best translated as 'Little hotchpotch', serving nice, winterly potatodishes with vegetables and different kinds of meat on the side. Whereas icecreams are sold from 1,50 euro, a stamppot costs around 7 euro.
